About Me

Kaelin McInnis was born in Calgary Alberta. He graduated from high school in Calgary while actively participating in the Air Cadet program for 7 years, ultimately attaining the rank of Warrant Officer first class. Kaelin has had a love for movies and filmmaking from a young age making many stop motion animations with an old point and shoot camera and toy cars or Legos. After taking a few photography and filmmaking courses in high school, a year of general studies at the University of Calgary and stumbling across the set of The Last of Us (2023), Kaelin enrolled in the film production program at Red Deer Polytechnic where he has served as the Director of Photography, Camera operator, and set photographer on several projects alongside his directing and editing work. Outside of school Kaelin has produced work for the Elk Valley Adventure and Dirt Riders Society, and Nanao Kimono as well as having his work featured in the Fernie Free Press.
